Dear Pet Owner
Welcome to the Backhome Microchip website.
Please take a moment to read below as we have very important information about your pet’s microchip.
BackHome Microchips have now moved all their pet registrations over to the Petlog database, the UK’s largest independent microchip registration and reunification database, owned and managed by the Kennel Club.
We have made this move so that your details are more secure than ever and if your pet should go missing, there will always be someone on hand to help 24 hours a day 7 days a week in the UK. We want to make sure you, our customer, receives the best possible service and by moving to Petlog we know this is what you will get.
Petlog has over 15 year’s experience and to date has over 5 million pets registered. They are ISO 9001 compliant and the only UK database member of EPN (www.europetnet.com) linking databases across Europe; invaluable should your pet go missing abroad.
Life registration is included in the cost of the microchipping procedure, however, if you need to amend your details at any time a small fee will be charged.
Alternatively as a pet owner you can then choose to upgrade your pet’s record to the Petlog Premium enhanced lifetime service for a one off fee of £15. This service offers:
- Unlimited updates and amendments to your record
- Option to add holiday information and temporary contact details
- Inclusion in the Petlog Premium Lost and Found Service – sending automatic lost pet alert to authorities within a 30 mile radius, should your pet go missing
Your details have already been safely recorded on the Petlog database, with easier access via our new website. However, should you have any questions or require any further information in relation to BackHome Microchips please click here.
To check your details, you will need a new secure Petlog ID number – you can choose to receive this by email. Simply complete the form above quoting your pet’s Microchip Number, your surname, pet’s name and postcode, Petlog will email by return giving you secure access to the Petlog database. Alternatively please contact Petlog on 0844 4633 999 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and they will be happy to assist you.
